This is a very special and unique customized Sedgwick guitar. This is the first and only guitar to have a talking board inlaid into the instrument. It is not only a  guitar but also a proper working talking board.  The art of scrying has been around for many centuries. One method involves using a board with  numbers and letters. The Ouija board is credited to a cabinet and coffin maker named E.C.  Reiche, in the late 19th century. Apparently the board named itself 'Ouija' so the story goes. He  sold the invention to his friend Charles Kennard who then started producing the first commercial  Ouija boards around 1886. William Fuld took over production and is credited for the commercial  success of the board. He was also a Free Mason. This name Ouija® became a registered  trademark in 1902, which now belongs to the games giant Hasbro.  Science has no clear answer as to how these talking boards work and so theories arise with our  own superstitions. The myth surrounding these types of boards have been greatly enhanced and  distorted by the media. Whether you believe you are tapping into your subconscious or talking to  spirits/aliens or as in most Occult philosophies a combination of both, it is an interesting game.  There are many wonderful different types of boards with many different designs to suit anyone's  taste. They are also very collectable.  Many thousands of these talking/Ouija boards are sold every year and people from all walks of  life have used them. There was one music related story that interested me for many years. In the  documentary 'Imagine: John Lennon', the British music legend John Lennon reads a letter by a  fan claiming to have been informed through a Ouija board that John would be assassinated. The  spirit who gave the information was said to be Brian Epstein, the late manager for the Beatles.  John Lennon was indeed killed, shot in the back by Mark Chapman, 8/12/1980.
